Dear God,

Sometimes we look at our life and think our situation is so bad; yet, when we look around, we see a truly suffering world.  We know millions have left their homes to find safety and hope in other countries.  They have not always found a welcoming hand.  Their suffering continues.

We know suffering can take us on a direct route to you, O Lord.  You care about our hurts, sorrows and pain.  You want us to draw close because in you we will always find a welcoming place.  By your side we can find comfort, insight and a way home.

to you,
dear Father.
Hold us close.
Make us
your own.
