Dear God,

How do we align ourselves to your will, O God?  How do we surrender our will to yours?  How do we follow you in the path of life?

Sometimes we fight tooth and nail to determine and orchestrate our own will.  Sometimes it works out.  Sometimes it is a disaster.  Sometimes it is just a simple failure.  What we don't consider is the way your will always works out even if it appears not always in our best interest because you take all into consideration, not just we, ourselves.  There are always lessons to be learned, insights that can come and challenges that can lead us to higher places in life.  In trusting you we can be enriched, empowered and emptied out of all that is less within our own souls.  Your will is always better.

Teach us

your way,

O Father,

teach us

your way.

Make us

your own.

Lead us,

we pray.
