Dear God,

It seems as if everything is upside down, inside out and unfamiliar.  Although I am creative and enjoy change and transformation, what we are experiencing in our country and world is not what we have hoped for.  Political division, pandemic fear, economic downturns, family and friends in divided camps and an uncertain future cause us to look to you for insights, answers and hope.

Sometimes the only way you get our attention is when we find ourselves in scary places.  We look to you when we lose our footing and are unsure where to go next.  We feel anxious, angry and afraid.

Holy God,

thank you

for uncertain places

that help us

look to 

the certainty

of faith.

Thank you

for compassionate love

that always

embraces us

holding us

in place

until we see 

our way forward.

Thank you

for challenging us

in every way.
