Dear God,
Last night as I slipped out of bed to go to the bathroom, I looked out the window at the amazing night sky. Millions of tiny, white, glowing stars twinkled back to me. I felt your awesome presence so I lingered there as I reflected upon how your light radiates around the clock.
There are so many holy moments in this life. They come at unexpected times; yet, they find their way deep down into my soul. I know that I know that I know it is your work. It is your inspiration to all of us trying to find our way home.
I am so moved by your love for all of us walking the face of the earth. We rarely do anything that warrants your extreme kindness to us but you do it anyway. It is in such moments I realize we really are your children, recalcitrant but loved so much.
Thank you
for night-time gifts.
Thank you
for wondrous surprises
that awaken us
from our sleep.
Teach us
to anticipate,
to receive
and then
to give
to others.
Help us
become a ray
of light
for others,
Loving God.
Always yours, Andrea
