Dear God,
Sitting in between what is and what will be is a difficult space in which to dwell; however, your presence may be more visible and apparent than either the before or after. Learning to dwell with you at peace awaiting the time of change is perhaps the best space to live. The in-between place is the challenge to trust, really trust and wait. When we utterly trust in you, we find hope, rest and peace. Our faith quietly grows in the trusting process.
But who wants to wait? "Wait upon the Lord." The psalmist said. And he knew what he was saying. He knew this was a coveted place and time. He knew because he met his God, our God and knew him. He found your love waiting for him, your grace working in him, and your compassion comforting him.
When we really trust in you, our Gracious, Loving God, we find everything we need.
Holy, holy, holy
are you,
Amazing God.
Thank you
for your promise
of presence
and love
as we dwell
with you
in anticipation.
Remind us
this is
holy space,
not a place
of complaint
of blame.
Love, Andrea
