Dear God,

While I brushed polyurethane on the countertop in the spiritual hermitage, I thought of all the things that have been done the last three years.  The building of the hermitage was miraculous in many ways.  The way the carpenter's name appeared to me.  The way each piece of furniture, dishes, fabrics for the quilt, composte toilet and books came are all near miracles.  You have led me to each and every one of them.

Why, Lord?  Why have you blessed me so much?  Why have you touched my life, increased my faith and given me so many gifts?  I am nothing special.  I have never done great things for you.  I have done nothing to warrant all your grace to me.  Yet, you have blessed me over and over again.

Thank you,
Holy God,
for all
your amazing gifts.
Thank you
most of all
for your
constant presence,
your gracious love
and compassionate ways.
No one
is like you.

Yours, Andrea
