Dear God,

I spent the day preparing the hermitage for a silent retreat on God's Faithfulness.  I need this so much and have waited four years to have it happen.  As I paused and sat in the rocker, I drank in the splendor of this amazing sacred dwelling space.  Sketched and built by Tim Spaulding, it is the epitome of wonder, beauty and love.  And to think, I will be here for several days to listen.

As I acknowledged the gift this is, I just prayed in gratitude and thanksgiving for the countless many ways you reach out to us in our distress and in our peace, always wanting to connect, to touch and to increase our faith.  

As I prepare the space here, I am also preparing my soul to meet you, O God.

of your

loving kindness.

like you,

no one.

I feel

your love,

Holy One,

may it

circle round me

and return

to you.
