Dear God,

It's really dark outside.  Dark clouds add to the dark morning.  In Maine daylight hours are becoming shorter.  It seems like the light will never return.

When darkness falls over us, it is tempting to believe the light will never shine again.  When loss creeps into our lives, it's all we can see, all we can drink in.  But the truth is, the light will shine.  The world outside and the world inside are created to let the light shine.  Perhaps it will be just a sliver, a crack, but it will shine once again into a brilliant radiance.

I have known darkness, even deep darkness.  I felt as if the darkness would never release its hold on me.  Yet, the light did come.  What I learned was a valuable lesson.  Even the darkness is not fully darkness because your light, your divine light always shines.  As I embraced the darkness, I embraced the sacred light.  Your light helped me find my own light once again.

Thank you,
Loving God,
for your
eternal light.
Thank you
for letting
your light
help me discover
my own light.
Today as
I shine
my light,
your light
shines too.

Love, Andrea
