Dearest God,
How can one describe you, O Lord? Like a magnificent, thunderous waterfall, a serene, meandering stream, a resplendent morning sunrise, or a melodic Brahms lullaby? How do we capture who you are in a sentence or a psalm?
As I observe your Holy Spirit movement, I want to draw a true picture of you. I want to sing a pure note. I want to dance the most beautiful sacred dance as a way of better defining you. I want the world's people to stop what they are doing, look out, and discover anew the God who loves us.
When I see you at work living in human hearts, mystifying human minds, and stirring human souls, I want to say more about you. I want to pause, to be in awe, to celebrate, and to give thanks. I want us all to do it together.
As I continue to reflect upon the Sunday morning worship service, I realize once again just how powerfully wonderful you are. No one can inspire like you. No one can transform like you. No one can touch like you. You are God; there is none like you!
Living God,
stir us
to recognition.
Help us see
what generally
we are unable
to see.
Help us
to hear what
we normally
cannot hear.
Help us respond
to your greatness
and love.
Always and forever yours, Andrea
