Dearest God,
A tiny bird sits right now on top of a cone flower in the garden nearest my kitchen window. In the misting rain, she eats away at the seeds not bothered in the slightest by the cold rainy day. You have provided for her. By eating from your abundance she enjoys your gift.
In the same way while I write at my kitchen table, my eyes feast on the fall garden getting ready for the cold brisk days ahead. The earlier spring and summer blooms now gone still give me joy remembering them. I know in just a few months everything will change again. The flower garden will come to life reminding me of the wonder of the seasons of your creation.
Ever Creating God,
thank you
for the gift
of nature
and all
its beauty.
Thank you
for Fran,
my neighbor,
who shares
with me
the desire
to partner
with you
in creating
a sanctuary
here on
Pleasant Street.
Thank you
for the gift
of growth
and your love
that makes everything grow.
Love, Andrea
