Gracious and Loving God,

To you all glory belongs.  As our hearts are open to you, you do wonderful and amazing things.  You sing to us heaven's love song.

As I attended church choir rehearsal for the first time in months because of illness, I recognized once again the generous gift of music, its hope for our lives, its strength in difficulty, its lilting sound moving us, its vibrant message of faith, and its amazing grace.  At times it was hard to sing because I was smiling so much!

You have placed music within us, O Lord.  You have given us the sound of love that can manifest itself in so many ways.  It may be a rhythm, a word, peace, an insight, an embrace, even a challenge.  It always has with it the possibility of transformation.  More than anything it can lead us to you.
