Dearest God,

You come to us in an infinite number of ways.  When we recognize you, our hearts are warmed, our spirit is brightened, and our souls are inspired.

This morning you came in my granddaughter Stella's smile.  Eleven years old, with silky red hair, bright, intuitive, and with a heart of silver, bronze, and gold together, her smile radiates light all around her.  This morning when she came downstairs and walked into the kitchen her hair splayed in every direction, my purple robe dragging on the floor, and sleepy eyes not sure they were really ready to be open, she smiled.  In my mind I thought this sweet girl could change the world with her smile.  I got out of my chair and went over to her giving her kisses on her forehead and a giant squeeze.

So often you appear out of nowhere to bless us.  You allow us to see you and feel the joy only you can give.  You touch us in our insides letting us know you are present.  You remind us to be on watch every day so we can connect for a moment, a minute, an hour, a day.  Your blessing changes us so we can spread the blessing to others.

You are God;
there is none
like you.
You reach out
and bless
like no one else can.
Help us always
to be
on alert
anticipating your presence.
As you
bless us,
help us
bless you.

Love, Andrea
