Dear God,

Thank you for the Lenten journey.  Thank you for the nudges, pokes, and pushes of faith.  Thank you for returning us to the path of real life.

We need Lent.  We need to step back on the pilgrimage of faith.  We need to acknowledge we are yours, companions on the way, and seekers.  We need to make our way to the place where faith was awakened in our souls.  We need to draw close to you.

As we look at Jesus, his relationships, his ministry, his love and his challenges to those around him so long ago, we find ourselves in the midst of his stories.  We ask questions.  Do I believe this man?  Do I want to follow him?  Do I want to serve?  Do I want to live the life of faith?  Do I want to love with the same kind of love?  If so, where do I need to repent and turn around?  We need to ask ourselves these questions.  These are Lenten questions.  Thank you for them.

Bless you,
O Lord,
for setting us
on your path.
Thank you
for telling us
the truth
of ourselves.
Thank you
for pointing us
in the
right direction.

Love, Andrea
