Dear God,

If we begin each morning by counting our blessings, our outlook on the new day will be positive, hopeful and meaningful.  We will see your hand at work, your love in the air and your spirit alive all around us.  Faith will increase as we give thanks.

We often fail to count our blessings, Lord.  Maybe we are too busy or too preoccupied.  Maybe we see ourselves as a god who is the author of all goodness that comes to us.  Maybe we are just too lazy or spiritually disinterested. 

On the other hand if we start our day with our creator by breathing in the air of a fresh new day and saying thank you, we will not only bless ourselves, we will bless you and others.  And really, why would we begin a new day any other way?

each morning.

for establishing
a relationship
with us.
Thank you
for blessing us
with you.
