Dear God,

Sometimes it takes just a small thing to boost the human spirit.  A smile, an unexpected kindness, an insight, a kernel of wisdom or hope arising out of a hopeless situation can change the day. 

Mine was a clean room, a space free of chipmunk presence.  When I walked across the clean carpet, I actually felt a special joy.  After working long hours cleaning, doing laundry, tossing debris and much, much more, I needed a little something and I found it.

No matter what the bit of goodness that comes, I have found it always comes from you, O Lord.  Today I discovered you on a clean carpet.
