Dear God,

For us humans enough is never enough.  This morning as I prayed, I asked for a closer relationship with my daughter.  Right then a picture of a meal with friends last night came into view.  There was Stacy and Liz and Patrice and Becke and Anita.  Why do I always want more?

I remember St. Paul saying he learned to be content with what he had.  Contentment comes as we rest in what we have with gratitude.  

Blessed God,

you bless us

all day long.

You give gifts.

Please forgive me

for wanting more.

Show me

the way

to deep contentment,

I pray.
