Dear God,

Just to know a little time is set aside each day for our union, you and I, is a precious gift.  In our quietude we simply dwell.  We breathe in the air of faith and joy and hope.  In these moments there is no fear, no anxiety, just peace.  Even when life is troubling, knowing we spend intentional time together reminds me who you are and what you are about.

My life is so minute and hardly worth talking about but with you, I come alive seeing possibility and promise.  I can smile in the midst of pain because I know I am with you and you are with me.  You give me a steady foundation on which to stand.  You promise to breathe the air of your spirit into me.  You whisper to me revealing your living presence.  You allow me to walk with you.  You offer challenge, conviction and correction; you open doors to transformation.

For me a life worthy of living is one with you today and all my tomorrows.
