Dear God,

In thirty minutes our covenant group of four will gather by conference call.  We will listen to a brief devotion, move to holy silence and then prayer.  One will share while the rest of us listen waiting for cues from you, Wondrous God.  We will ask questions.  At the end of the call we will move to prayer once again.

Why do we do it?  It is simple really.  We gather to be with you and being with you means we find you in one another.  We hear your story mixed with ours.  We open our hearts, minds and souls to you waiting, listening and wondering.

Every Wednesday it is the same, different situations but always the same unfolding story of the Holy One.  I can't wait for Wednesdays because I am never disappointed.  I am always challenged, always invited to a place different than the one where I live.  I rise and fall, fall and rise with your love, love and conviction.

How blessed I am.
