Dear God,

We desperately need peace, Almighty God.  Each and every person on the face of the earth needs peace.  Since you are the great peacemaker, we fall to our knees in prayer to you.  Help us, O God, help us, please.

We do not ask for peace for some but for all.  How can we pray for Israel's children without praying for Palestinian children?  Our world will never heal if we do not see each other as sister and brother.  But it is also true in our personal lives.  How can I pray for my own children without praying for my husband's children too?  Each and all are your children first.  Your print is upon each life.  Help us, Holy One, help us to make peace together so eventually we can make our way deeper into the hearts of family, strangers and enemies alike.  Please, God, please.
