Dear God,
Just now the darkness is all around me this early morning but I am comforted because you said the darkness is not true darkness because even the darkness is your light. For some strange reason I feel cloaked in this darkness where your light resides. What comfort comes in that thought.
So much mystery is hidden from our eyes, O Lord, mystery that waits to reveal itself at appropriate times in faith. There is both anticipation and intrigue because we know you are ever present in it all. Faith grows as we wait and long for your mystery to be opened to us.
As we watch the light come each morning, we are reminded of your living presence always waiting to be revealed. Nature is always teaching us lessons if we are attentive to its messages. Light comes, it cannot not come; it is always appearing to strengthen us, give us courage and hope and add to our trust in you. For this we are eternally grateful.
Holy, Living God,
we stand
in your presence
even now.
Sometimes we
are not aware
because we
do not
pay attention.
But that
does not
nullify it.
You are here.
Help us remember
and rejoice!
Yours, Andrea
