Dear God,

It feels warm and cozy spending quiet time with you in the morning.  Outside, there are nearly as many brown leaves as blades of green grass.  The globe is turning, reminding us there is order in the cosmos, a new season approaching.

My heart is filled with gratitude for summer and the upcoming seasons of Autumn and Winter.  I love this changing time.  I draw closer to you, to nature and to my own self knowing I too am in the Autumn of my life.  There are parts of me dying as well.  Yet, there is something beautiful about my life changes.

Keeping rooted and grounded in you, I can weather storms and live through the coming changes.  So the more time I spend with you now opens the door to longer stays later on.  I am grateful.
