Dear God,

How do we bring peace to all the violence around us?  How do we still our own hearts so that we too may fall under the veil of peace?

When we see the violence of war, the violence of domestic harm, and the violence of oppression, it is so distressing to witness the pain of suffering of your very own children.  As we watch it on television, hear about it from others, or read it, we fall into prayer because we know the pain of injury and sorrow.  How do we help those who are victims and/or those who perpetuate violence?

How do we call up peace in one another, Lord?

Almighty God,
bless you
for your gift
of peace.
How can
we settle
for peace
with ourselves
when our
sisters and brothers
are victimized?
How can
we become peacemakers,
dear Father?
