Dear God,

It isn't so much that you answer our prayer the way we want it to be answered but rather that you are with us in our waiting.  Your living presence reminds us we are not alone.  You never abandon us.  You never walk away from us.  While we pray for answers to our greatest concerns, your presence warms us, keeps us from fear and helps us in our faith.

You teach us to trust you in all things.  You show us the way of your love and mercy, grace too.  You want us to lean on you, to learn from you and to walk the pilgrim path.  As we turn to you in our difficult times we gain much in the waiting time.

Thank you,
Holy Father,
for the gift
of your presence.
Thank you
for teaching us
your way.
Forgive us
when we
turn away
and for
giving us opportunity
to return.
You welcome us home
and for that
we are
eternally grateful.

Love, Andrea
