Dear God,

I meet this new day in the darkness.  It is not yet time for the sun to rise.  I wonder how I will greet this new day.  Will I love today?  Will I be a light for others?  Will I spread joy?

We face these same and other questions every day.  How will I behave today?  Will I act as a person of faith?  Will I better the world around me?  As a world citizen, as a member of a family and as a Christian, what will I look like today?  What will I contribute today?

Creator God,

as this

new day unfolds,

help me be

the best

I can be.

I want 

to bless you

and others.

I want 

to live up

to my potential.

I want

to give

so others

can experience peace,

hope and joy.

Lead me today,

Blessed God.
